Frequently Asked Questions
- 01As a birth doula, I am trained and experienced in providing hands-on support to families throughout the birth process. Doulas complement medical care by providing a steady presence, comfort, and guidance. My role is to accompany you during labor to promote a safe and fulfilling experience, without making decisions for you or intervening in clinical care—always respecting your choices.
- 02Most families hire a doula in the second or early third trimester, but I recommend reaching out as early as possible to ensure availability. That said, I understand life doesn’t always go as planned, and I will always do my best to accommodate last-minute needs whenever I can.
- 03No, I provide evidence-based information and support informed decision-making, but I do not replace medical providers.

- 05Yes! I offer a complimentary consultation so we can connect, discuss your hopes for your birth, and see if we’re a good fit. This is a relaxed, no-pressure space for you to ask questions and learn more about how I can support you.
- 06Not at all. While my faith is at the center of the care I provide, I welcome and support families from all backgrounds with compassion, respect, and individualized care.
- 07Yes, I provide support in hospital, birth center, and home birth settings.
- 08You do not need to be planning an unmedicated birth to benefit from doula support. I support all types of births, whether you plan to labor naturally, use pain medication, or have a cesarean. My role is to support you with compassion and encouragement as you make the choices that feel right for your family.

I help you stay informed and involved in your experience, offer reassurance, and support both you and your partner so you feel confident and cared for throughout your birth.
- 10Absolutely not. My role is to support both you and your partner throughout the birth experience. I help guide and encourage them so they feel confident and involved in supporting you.
- 11Yes, I offer flexible payment plans because I believe doula support should be accessible to every family.
- 12Great question! Once you book with me, we’ll begin preparing for your birth together and making sure you feel fully supported throughout your pregnancy. We’ll schedule your prenatal visits to discuss your preferences, prepare for labor, and go over what to expect during birth. I’ll also be available throughout your pregnancy by text, call, or email for ongoing support and guidance. Beginning at 38 weeks, I’ll remain on call for you 24/7, ready to support you whenever labor begins.
